About Us

AFM Software Solutions Limited was formed in 1999 and is based in Stevenage in the United Kingdom. The business was founded in response to several requests for database development and IT services. As we have grown we have gone on to provide a range of software and Internet services for a variety of businesses and County Councils.

Our principles

At AFM we have always endeavoured to follow a few basic principles. These primarily place the emphasis on reliability, ease of use, customer care and value for money. Our main principles are...

• Websites should be clear and concise, easy to navigate, accessible to all and provide the highest relevant traffic possible.
• Software should make a job easier, faster or possible. If an application does not fulfil at least one, preferably two, or ideally all of these aims then it has not been designed correctly.
• All our designers talk directly to the clients and end users where possible. All comments and criticism are carefully listened to and designs amended accordingly.

Company history

AFM was originally formed to support a software package called 'Call Display' created by Adrian Mallett and Catherine Jones to monitor Hertfordshire Fire Service incidents. The reputation and high user friendliness of Call Display led to another project for a firm in Welwyn Garden City to produce a data base to store asbestos surveys and produce printed reports.

The company naturally expanded into websites and compact disk business cards. We work closely with a highly qualified consultant on aspects of website accessibility and now have expertise and years of experience in this area.

In January 2007 we moved to our present office in the BTC building in Stevenage. We have continued to expand and increase the range of services we offer as well as refining and improving the existing ones.

AFM has been built on reliability and quality of service and we have no intention of ever changing that. We look forward to many more happy clients in the future.
